Stuck headset icon

The headset icon at the top bar of my HTC ozone just randomly came on and i cant find anyway to get rid of it. I have never had a headset and it makes me unable to talk on the phone and hear people rendering my phone call-less. Does anyone have any idea on how to remove it?

You may have already tried this, but be sure your Bluetooth is turned off.

Yeah, also is there a chance that your phone is connected to somebody else's BT device, or their phone? Open your Comm Manager, right soft key for settings, 2 Bluetooth, 1 Bluetooth, and see what devices, if any, are there. If there's something there you don't wanna connect to, just delete it.

Does the icon show with a 'wired' headset....if so try actually pluging in a head set. Spin the plug around a little and wriggle it a little. Then unplug it. This might disconnect the contacts in the headset female plug that are connecting in the phone. I have had a similar problem with and old TV with a head set plug (sound would not come out of the set speaker) and this 'fixed' it. Good luck.
