Your laptop's Bluetooth software would probably need to support the HID profile.

If it doesn't, there are other remote control programs, like Pocket Controller Professional, but I don't know if they work over Bluetooth.

if it isn't listed as a possible service my laptop can offer, is it impossible to do it then? or is there a driver or something i need to download to make it support the HID profile

I have no idea. I don't use Bluetooth that much other than for headset/headphone support. If there is a driver or stack update, you'd have to check with the Bluetooth hardware vendor or the Bluetooth stack developer (Microsoft, Broadcom/Widcomm, BlueSoleil, etc.).

Did you check Pocket Controller Pro? That provides keyboard support for many PDAs, so if it works over Bluetooth ActiveSync, it might do what you want.
