Default Connection Issues & Notification Sound

I am using the H700 and have 2 issues. The first is that the headset keeps connecting and then disconnecting on its own. My Q and the H700 are sitting side by side.

Second problem comes with the first. Every time it connects or disconnects I get a notification tone. I don't mind getting the tone so I know that I am having issues, but could use some volume control. I have searched and searched, but can't come up with the proper spot.

assuming you have good batteries in both devices...

do you have another BT device you can pair with?

I do have another BT (Pantronics) and do not have the same issue. Battery is fully charged in both the phone and BT.

That kinda points to the H700 as being the culprit.

I was thinking the same thing. This is the second H700. They replaced the first one and it didn't take care of the problem. Made me think it was the Q until I did a warranty replacement on the Q. Still having the same problem.

Good point. I brought my Plantronics in from the truck to test it in the same environment as the H700. Haven't had a drop yet. I may just give up and return the H700 for a different model.

I also figured out how to lower the volume on the notification that I was connecting and disconnecting. At least I can fix that issue.

My old Jabra had set used to dissconnect and reconnect all them time. I smashed it and bought an H700C and it works great. I've never had a disconnection problem. I have had a couple of times I turned on the BT during a call and it didn't connect, I turned it off and back on and it worked fine.

IMO you can't beat the headsets with a switch. It saves a ton of batteries on both devices.

the woman never had a problem with the one time she used hers. Last seen swirling around the bottomless pit she calls a purse.

I thinks you just got some bum devices

I have to agree. Tomorrow's chores include exchanging for a different model. One last question: every hear of interference causing problems? I have a co-worker using an H700 (same as mine) that sits about 10 feet away. Problematic?
