To tell you the truth, I really don't know how I did it. haha

Search under your start menu on your computer for Regedit, open the program and go to....

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - MICROSOFT - WINDOWS CE SERVICES
Then look for Serial Port, should be towards the bottom and change that value to the Com you want to use for your bluetooth device. Close Regedit and Restart your computer.

*I use COM3 because my laptop doesn't have built in bluetooth so I have a dongle that I use.

Then go into the Device Center - Mobile Device Settings - Connection Settings - Allow connections to one of the following - click COM3, or what ever you set the COM to. Close that.

Create a connection from your phone to your computer. Then right click on the PDAnet system tray icon and say connect through bluetooth Dun, or something like that. It will probable say Device not Setup correctly. Go on your phone to the PDAnet program, click the option for Dun and it will probably tell you to turn off your bluetooth. Do so, the close out of everything, except pdanet, and go back to your home screen. Go to start menu and check and see if the PDAnet icon shows as connected. Then right click on the pdanet icon on your computer and say connect through Dun, or what ever the heck it says.

that should do the trick. if not, lmk where you get stuck because Im probably forgetting something. I got it to work at like 1AM this morning. hehe

Hope this works for you!!! you can always email me at:

yeah i got it to work. not sure why it didnt work before but it does now. only thing that sucks is it was using data and i dont have a data plan. any idea how to get around that or is that impossible. for some reason i thought the point of pdanet was to get internet for free on your phone.

oh bummer!!!! no PDAnet is used for people who have unlimited data that don't have the Phone As Modem capability on their plan. If you don't have PAM on your plan and try to connect they will charge you. PDA will go around that so you don't have to get PAM. But yes you will need unlimited data or a big time data plan to use your phone as a modem.

But glad to hear that it is working for you. Who is your currier?
