I have tested it and you are correct. I got identical speeds both ways.

So what'the difference between the two? what is PDA Net? I think I know that tethering is somehing you pay for with Alltel and it allows you to use your phone as a modem to get the pc on the internet. But what PDANet? Free? How do you do it/use it?

PDA net is $35 one time (rather than paying monthly for tethering) and allows you to use your cellphone's data connection for internet on a PC
