Insurance Replacement

Thx, but to be honest, I've been a lurker here for quite a long time. I think I have most of the common problems that others here have had....locking up, randomly resetting; things like that. Perhaps more annoyances than defects but irritating nonetheless. Im just trying to buy my time I guess until either Verizon takes over or I switch carriers. I was using smart toolkit for awhile which transformed the phone into a very intuitive and enjoyable device. Ive thought about other smart phones but always come back to the Q due to the customizability of Windows software (pocketnester) and full qwerty. It seems that people are happier with 6.1 so im optimistic about my next one.

I have never, ever had a problem with my Q. I have had programs lock it up but those were the usual bad programs everyone complained about.
There may be a problem if they want to lock me into a another 2 year contract that you can't change. That will NEVER happen again.
But, after this phone, I never want just a standard cell phone again. It can only get better.....

Since the store doesn't handle the replacement for the insurance company, call the insurance company and ask them. They will tell you exactly what will ship.

I was having problems with my original Q, went up to the store twice, the finally said I will get another phone. I got mine yesterday in the mail...the original Q....but that could because I am in Asheboro, NC

I just took my Q (original) back to Alltel today because it keeps shutting down constantly. He was unable to tell me for sure what I would get (still covered under warranty)

Any thoughts what I could get? I told him no to a refurb, but do I have a chance at a Q9? Is a warranty replacement different from an insurance replacement?

Warranty replacement you don't pay for. Insurance replacement you pay a deductible. If you are under warranty, you should get the same or comparabe phone. What you get depends on what they have...

you should also go for a credit on your account. whay pay for a service and you cant use it cause the phone is hosed.
