As many of you within the EverythingQ community are aware, Motorola has been focused on developing Android phones. The company remains committed to Windows Mobile, but it’s not likely that we’ll see any new Windows Mobile phones from Motorola in 2009. A few months ago, we surveyed our members and asked our readers how this move by Motorola affects them. When the time to comes to upgrade their Motorola Q, are they more likely to stick with Windows Mobile or perhaps jump to an Android phone. Most of the respondents were sticking with Windows Mobile. Either way, we at EverythingQ want to have you covered. For those of you who choose to jump to another Windows Mobile phone, including one of the Samsung models or the HTC Snap (Ozone), our site and forums are expanding to offer coverage of these devices and more. To go with the expansion, we’ve rebranded the site from EverythingQ.com to EverythingWM.com. If you are a Motorola Q user, you’ll still have complete access to all the Motorola Q content, software downloads, homescreens and more that you had at EverythingQ. This expansion simply allows us to go beyond straight Moto Q coverage. In the coming months, we expect Motorola to get involved in Android. While we have nothing to announce just yet, members of EverythingWM will have complete access to our new Android site that will launch in the next few weeks. There are also some new features including our long-awaited Community Blog which will be available this week on EverythingWM.
Finally, I’d like to personally thank everyone who has been a part of the EverythingQ community. With over 110,000 registered members, this community has become the number one destination for Q owners. You have made this site what it is today and what it will be tomorrow, the resource for Motorola Q owners and for those looking to get the most from their Windows Mobile device.
