fyi ... The legendary and worlds best camera phone nokia 808 pure view runs on symbian
operating system and has a single core 1 ghz cpu and captues photos and 1080p
videos better than any best of the best phone you may pick. You know tje companion chip
on the 808 handles 16 billion pixels where as the so called dual cores in market
canot handle more than 20 megapixels. So to deliver a premium experience as Mr.
Elop said nokia or windows phone will really not need a dualcore. And any enery management
algo can not make dual core too efficient , i guess android oems add this junkie specs
as they really dont have much to differentiate .

I don't know what the summit is, but Microsoft needs to have some sort of conference where the big app names developers will congregate and port their apps to windows phone. Standing by would be Microsoft engineers helping them. Of course incentives would be presented for participating developers.

Windows server 2008 R2 can turn off unused cores to save power. Therefore, this is not an adequate reason for not supporting multi-core.

I love the WindowsPhone, but Microsoft is so slow at this. Just open the platform up with APIs so other developers can do the work and fill in the gaps already.

If I had to wait for "FALCON" to finally appear in my phone, I predict in the WP9 timeframe, and it won't be available in Australia.

Your biggest (and most annoying) competitor, the Android, will look at this post and have this feature copied before the end of the year. What's your move, Microsoft?

Argh! Frustration.

this sounds like Schedule Tasks in Windows... why not just let people do that? Does this REALLY need to have artificial intelligence?

as for location based triggers - give your developers better access to connect their apps to the MAP then. As a consumer I should be able to do:

background agent detects proximity to a geo location -> triggers my train app -> launch with my current train station selected and my upcoming train's schedule.

not having that hook is stupid - Microsoft should bake this into the phone and let 3rd parties build addons.

Well even if the Nokia Lumia 900 is shipped from UK to UAE, It's going to take 2 to 3 weeks or maybe sooner. Can't wait to get my hands on it, If UK launch date is 14th May, 2012, Then UAE launch will definitely be around 14th June, 2012. Unless they are available in the Gray Market before the launch date.

No manufacturer has released or produced a WP7.device with multi core processors and what Elop stated does not mean that Windows 8 Nokia devices won't have them. This is just rehashing old news.
