According to a report from The Verge, Nokia is currently working with AT&T on a Lumia 800 that would support LTE. Windows Phone 7.5 does not support LTE, but the Tango follow-up might just remedy that. Nokia could work with Microsoft to either offer a forked version of Mango that supports LTE or ship it with Tango.
If Nokia is looking to get a leg up on the competition, offering LTE support is more than a good idea. The source didn’t provide any information on potential release dates. If they are working on LTE handsets, then perhaps that would lead to a Verizon handset.
