WMExperts are reporting that for the first few months after launch, AT&T will be the only provider of Windows Phone 7 handsets, before the platform spreads, virus-like, to other carriers.
WME isn’t giving much in the way of details about how they grabbed this tidbit, but it does sound more or less right, given that we know that AT&T wants to be a big part of Windows Phone 7, possibly to offset any losses due to potentially losing iPhone exclusivity.
A bit disappointing, isn’t it, that Microsoft could only attract one carrier for Windows Phone 7.
