Motorola To Focus On Android Only?

Phone Scoop is reporting that Motorola will focus on Android phones only and that the company will begin a massive lay off as soon as this week. Motorola will reportedly produce just twelve models per year. When it comes to smartphones, the report says they will only produce smartphones that run Google's Android OS. No releases appear imminent with the company planning to skip CTIA in April, known as the largest mobile event in the US.

We first reported that the Moto Q has reached end of life in the US, but this report takes it once step further saying Motorola is effectively abandoning Windows Mobile in the US market. Where does that leave end users who prefer Windows Mobile?

Automotive does the same thing. After perfecting a car, they stop making it.

And they wonder why they are having problems.
